Travelling from Walsall to our Handforth clinic is more straightforward than you might expect, and many clients find the journey itself a good chance to settle their thoughts before the appointment. By rail, the most reliable route is from Walsall into Birmingham New Street, then a direct train to Manchester Piccadilly, followed by a short hop on the Styal line to Handforth station — the clinic is just a five-minute walk from there, making the total journey roughly two to two-and-a-half hours. If you prefer to drive, the M6 northbound joining the M56 towards Wilmslow brings you directly to the Handforth area, with journey times typically around an hour and a quarter outside of rush hour; free parking is available on site, so there is no need to worry about meters or pay-and-display. We would suggest leaving a little extra time if travelling on a weekday morning, as the M6 around Junction 10 near Walsall can be congested. Once your assessment is complete, you travel home just once — your detailed report is sent electronically directly to your GP and school.
