Travelling from Nottingham to our Handforth clinic is straightforward whichever way you choose to go. By rail, the most reliable route is via Manchester Piccadilly, where you can pick up a direct Northern service to Handforth station — the clinic is just a five-minute walk from the platform, making the whole journey around one hour and forty minutes door to door. If you're driving, head north-west on the A52 to join the M1, then pick up the M6 and exit onto the M56 towards Wilmslow; allow around one hour and thirty minutes depending on traffic, and please note that free on-site parking is available when you arrive. A handy tip for those coming from the East Midlands direction: the M6 around junction 19 can slow during school-run hours, so aim to set off before eight-thirty if your appointment is mid-morning. Once your assessment is complete, you make that journey just the once — your detailed report is sent electronically straight to your GP and school.
