By rail, the most reliable route is from Cambridge station to Manchester Piccadilly — typically around two hours on a direct or single-change service — then a short hop of roughly five minutes on the stopping train to Handforth station, which is just a brief walk from our clinic. If you prefer to drive, the A14 westbound connects neatly with the M6 and then the M56, bringing you into Handforth in approximately two and a half to three hours depending on traffic; free on-site parking means you can arrive without any last-minute stress about finding a space. One practical tip: the M6 around junction 19 can be slow during school-run hours, so aim to travel before 8 a.m. if your appointment is morning. You make the journey just once, and once your assessment is complete, your detailed report is sent electronically directly to your GP and school.
